Hi there, it's Tasha here with an update. I went to the v-e-t yesterday to have my final FIV+ booster vaccination, and had to get on the scales again. Now, when I had my annual check-up 4 weeks ago, I weighed 5.1 kgs. At that time, the otherwise nice v-e-t made remarks about how I could lose a little weight - rubbish I said! But I've been exercising a bit more since then, and not eating quite so much in the crazy hot weather we're having at the moment, and at yesterday's weigh-in, I came in at a svelte 4.85 kg. I'd lost 0.25 kg in 4 weeks!
The v-e-t was pleased but said that I could afford to lose another 0.25 kg. Sheesh! There's no pleasing some people. I guess I can lose a bit more, so we'll see...
My other announcment - We finally got Mum to plant our Cat Grass seeds in some real dirt today, so maybe we can join the ranks of the Society of Feline Gardeners. We're rank amateurs compared to the purresident, Jonesie, but we'll see how we go.
Here's a picture of me checking out our new Cat Grass:

Hey little sister, now don't hog the whole blog. It's Gypsy here, just letting everyone know that there were 2 kitties snoopervising our new crop of Cat Grass. Here's a shot of me in action:
It's exhausting being in charge!

We hope you have a bumper crop of cat grass there!!
Hello all! It's nice to meet you. With both of you snoopervising, we're sure you'll have a wonderful harvest...if you can wait that long. My kitties start chomping before the grasses can make much headway. Good luck!

fiv shot? do you go outside? our vet doesn't carry that because it has a high risk of tumors... please be careful. if you are inside cats you really only need Rabies and Distemper. Mom says she doesn't even like us getting the distemper.
We are glad you have lost the weight. We have been told to loose, too. We go nest week to see it we have lost any!
Good luck on the grass.
Good luck with the greass. That second picture ius just priceless.. Hugs GJ xx
That's so exciting that you are going to join the Society of Feline Gardeners. My sister Jonesie welcomes you with open paws! Amateurs and garden dreamers...all welcome!
xoxo Cory
We hope you have better luck with your cat grass than we did with ours. But then, you are probably a safe distance from old black thumbs (aka our mum) down there;)
To answer Isis' question, we are both indoor/outdoor cats, although I (Gypsy) don't venture out very far from home these days - I'm semi-retired after all! I (Tasha) do like to wander outside a little, so that's why Mum decided to get me the FIV+ vaccination. Aussie cats don't need to get Rabies shots, since we're pretty sure that Australia doesn't have Rabies. Each year we both get vaccinated for Fel-0-Vax 3 (Rhinotracheitis, Panleukopenia and Calicivirus).
Hello cuties, wow, grass munching, that is something we haven't gotten to do in a while, but I can tell you sure are enjoying in. Have a munch for us please!!!
That cat grass will be very juicy! Glad to see you back!!
Oh yum! Cat Grass!
Ooh aren't you the most handome cats!
welcome back! we understand a lot about finding time to blog. that little blurpy Joel takes up way more time than he should in my opinion.
mmmm cat grass! you are two lucky kitties. i'll bet you are great gardeners, and snoopervisors.
Hey! It's great to see that you two got back to blogging while we were on a forced break for a couple of weeks (darn computer problems!). Don't think you've been by our place in a couple of weeks either, at least not since just before the break -- we now have a Gypsy at our house, too! :D It's a good name, isn't it?
Purrs and hugs,

Hey kitties, nice to see you back blogging again! It's hard work snoopervising the cat grass isn't it?
I hope your grass planting activity is very successful and you have a bumper crop.
I don't have any cats so I don't need Cat Grass, but what about my dogs? What can they grow for me? Is there a secret gardening society they can join?
