It's Gypsy here, and this is me flat out on the couch after someone kept me up until the wee small hours watching tennis. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine sport, but this is my couch!!! You can see something of my special long furred 'blankie' in the picture - if my 'blankie' is on the couch, then I own all parts of the couch touched by the blanket. This is a two and a half person couch, so I feel that I should get at least half of it, and then Mum and Tasha can squish up on the other half. I just scrolled through your blog and stated that you are both very beautiful cats ! I love ginger cats but never really had one. The only one who moved in here and was such a sweet cat (with me and Mr. Gattino) I had to give away to my friend who had lost her cat, because he didn't support other cats and bit and scratched all very badly. He wanted to be an only cat. With my friend he is it and he is now 17 years old.
Yeah! It's YOUR couch. Just sit on your humans when they are conquering it. Sometimes it helps to put your little claws in their legs...
Mancats should have more room, they are much bigger than us girlkitties.
Mnacats get all the room that they want. That's what my brother always says at least...

Hi Gypsy. Couch rules! Yes, I agree completely. I don't have to share with other cats but I do order the people to stay in their locations so I can have my assigned location on the couch. Great cats think alike!

Yes, borders and boundaries must be respected. We have found that having just one rule helps to keep it simple: If you can see it, it is ours.
I have a sleeping carpet that is mine and where ever it is, that is mine as well. I think having half the couch is only fair.
